The Spruce Goose Launderette in Bath is a clean and well maintained self service laundromat, open 7 days a week, 365 days a year and conveniently located between the historic Royal Crescent and The Circus.
Facilities & Services
coin-operated
All our machines are coin-operated and accept £1, £2, 50p, 20p and 10p coins. Washing machines cost: £4 – 10kg / £6 – 15kg (our 15kg machines require 1 x £2 and 4 x £1coins).
The average cost to dry a 10kg load of washing is approx £3 (min cost is 40p).
We are a self-service laundromat and do not supply change, so please be sure to bring change with you. There are plenty of banks in Bath that can provide change, two of the closest being Lloyds and Barclays on Milsom St. Or why not buy a paper, food or drink and ask for change at the Co-op on Julian Rd – an easy four minute walk (this is also the location of the nearest cash point).

Our Bath Launderette is open from 8am to 8pm every day of the year.
A wash and dry takes approximately one hour to complete, plus folding time, we therefore recommend starting your last wash by 7pm.
Doors lock automatically at 8pm and lights turn off at 8:30pm. To exit after doors lock turn knob on catch.
our machines
At the Spruce Goose Launderette Bath we provide a range of commercial washing machines & dryers. Our standard washers are perfect for day to day garments and personal clothes, our commercial washers can take larger loads of clothes and garments including family laundry, quilts and blankets.
For your convenience we have eleven washing machines in total – 3x7kg, 6x10kg and 2x15kg, along with five 35kg dryers.
All are machines are connected to a new commercial water softening device which has a dramatic effect on the effectiveness of detergent usage.

Our launderette is regularly cleaned and serviced and we pride ourselves on providing a clean and tidy facility for our customers use.
While you’re waiting for your washing or drying, why not sit in our bay window and take in the view of the historic Margaret’s Buildings or drop in to the Green Bird Cafe for a coffee or a bite to eat.

washing powder
The Spruce Goose Launderette offers a washing powder dispenser for the convenience of locals and visitors of Bath. The dispenser provides 30g boxes of powder for use in our washing machines.
Cost for powder is £1 per box.
